With all the news rolling on from the Tokyo Intenational Anime Fair, it's easy to get overwhelmed and miss some of the details -- after all, this shit is exciting for a figure collector. As soon as I was able to yank my eyes back from rolling to the back of my head, I started to comb the pictures in more detail, and I found something in Akiba Hobby's coverage of the event that was particularly relevant to my personal interests.
I can tell a Shunya Yamashita design for a mile away -- his female faces are some of the softest and most beautiful out there -- but I only had the barest of info about Enka Oudou Dai Shogun, a new media project that encompasses everything from drama CDs to anime and figures. Animekon reports that this figure was shown at the Studio Anima booth at the event.
All I can tell you about this beauty for now is that her name is Kikiro Abe and Mitsumasa Yoshizawa modeled her (woth the help of Yamashita, of course). As soon as we find more details about if and when you can buy her, I'll be sure to let you know, but the odds are you will be able to in the future. Isn't she stunning?
