New photos of Good Smile Company's Saber ~The Promised Sword of Victory (Excalibur)~

10:00 AM on 01.18.2010 // Jonathan Tubbs

In December, a magazine scan was released showing off a new Fate/Stay night Saber figure from Good Smile Company. This 1/7 scale figure is a follow up to the very impressive and very delayed Saber Lily ~Avalon~ and it is looking just as spectacular. Whether it will receive the same delay treatment or not is another story. Mika-tan's blog updated with new photos showing us several of the details of Saber.

The first thing that is noticed is her pose and the movement captured by the sculptor. Every little detail to show motion can be found from her dress, the tassels, to the individual strands of hair. Every time I see a Saber figure, I immediately fall in love with the armor. The etched details in her breastplate look wonderful as well as the work on the greaves and gauntlets. Saber will also include the Barrier of the Wind King (Invisible Air) sword adding a lot more to her pose.

Pre-orders are set to open tomorrow so be sure to have your wallets ready.
