It's felt like a lot of the Gunpla announcements have just been relegated to exclusives, whether they are convention or website-orientated. Thankfully, the new arrivals are welcome news and are going to be available as normal. The new goods are things that fans have been wanting, so it's going to be a good way to end the year.

The most exciting news, at least to me, is the reveal of Master Grade Nu Gundam ver. Ka. MGs supervised by Katoki are nothing new, but this is the first time that Katoki has re-drawn a previously-made MG release since the RX-78 ver Ka back in 2002. The original MG of the Nu goes back to 2001, so I'm excited to see how it turns out with today's Gunpla technology, especially if they can fix the fin funnels. The wait won't be long to see how it turns out as it will be released this December for 7,000 yen. Some may balk at the price, as the original MG cost 5,000 yen, but the MG Hi-Nu was 7k as well and came with a slew of extras. It'll be worth the price.

Also on the MG news, while certainly expected, it came quicker than I thought. On the heels of the MG Gundam AGE-2, the re-deco of it into the Darkhound will see its release this November. While the pictures show white parts, this is probably due to just borrowing parts from the AGE-2 and the final version not being ready. [Thanks, Henry] I expect to see the full picture at C3xHobby next month. We'll have to see it then as the release is scheduled for this November for 4,200 yen.

Lastly, and about time, the very popular Byarlant Custom from episode 4 of Gundam Unicorn will see its debut in the 1/144 HGUC line in November for 2,600 yen. Given that the only other release of this unit was as a web-limited Robot Damashii, I think fans will be most pleased by this news. On that note, November will be hellish as the popular Byarlant and Darkhound will also be joined by the release of RG Zeta Gundam. Well, at least you can try and get them gifted for you.
