New details announced on Good Smile's Shiki Ryougi Kimono ver. photo

Fellow Tomopop editor Topher Cantler and myself were both enamored with this figure when pictures of her first surfaced out of WonFes, and rightfully so -- the detail on her kimono alone is enough to send any hardcore collector into paroxysms of joy.

Good Smile has posted an official page for Shiki, and we now know that she will be out this November and will retail for 6500 yen (roughly $59 US). She's from an anime called Kara no Kyoukai that I am unfamiliar with, but as the habit goes, I find myself rather interested in between this gorgeous figure and the clips I saw. It seems somehow so very backwards to fall in love with the figures first and then find the anime after, but I'm sure I'm not the only person guilty of it.

Legacy Comments

This is a must have on my liiist :3
Its not bad to like the figure before the anime, the figure itself also belongs to another art form different from anime.
Damn that is beautiful.
this is one of those figures that transcends the plastic and vinyl confines of its form and easily makes its way into the "are toys art" conversation with a resounding "fuck yeah moron! that shits totally art!"

I would LOVE to see this in a black and white version.
I saw the first of the Kara no Kyoukai and I must say that it's pretty neat. Now that I've seen it I want it, especially since it'll contrast the racier figures i own.
