Nendoroid +tic Nee-san is cuter than your little sister

Seen over at Wonder Festival and the the Hobby Maker Expo, Good Smile Company revealed several new Nendoroid figures what with it being their bread and butter and all. One of those figures is an interesting yet quirky looking character from school gag title +tic Nee-san (Older Sister).

Mika-tan's blog has a preview of this upcoming release and I feel my wallet itching. The model castle hat wearing Nee-san may seem like your typical Nendoroid figure with her joyous smile but its when you get to the expressions that you see a stand out figure. The angry expression is cute with her jaws showing along with the accompany closed fists to go with it. She even includes a different body to pose her in the "Olaolaolaola" pose ... which involves stretching your arms in front of you, placing your school bag between your legs, and shaking your read. ... ... right. However, the expression that is a real winner on this figure is the goofiest of expressions I've seen on a Nendoroid as featured in the header. It's so cartoonish when compared to other expression releases but it's absolutely amazing! Think of the photo opportunities with other Nendoroid figures?

I told myself I would be staying away from school girl figures since they blend together after a while but the expressions for this figure make it an interesting and possibly worthwhile purchase. Look for Nendoroid Nee-san to open for pre-order on February 24, 2012 in Japan.
