Nanan introduces us to The Badass

Nanan introduces us to The Badass photo

Nanan's illuminated Amaterasu pieces have been featured on Tomopop before, but none ever quite this big. This is The Badass, a 27-inch version of the smaller Amaterasu figure, and yes, it's got a big light for a head, too. The art style continues the gritty, Japanese-inspired look with the details, mixed with the smooth, cartoon-like lines sculpted for the body.

Check out the gallery for a photo or two of the new project, and let us know in the comments what you think. Personally, I love the look ... but I don't even begin to know where I'd put a giant 2-foot-tall resin sculpture in my house.

Just a quick heads-up: Dynamite Rex is releasing a new smoke and yellow double-cast Raaar! today.
