Munn-day Morning Recap: Braaaaains photo

Munn-day Morning Recap is back for yet another week, ready to show off the cool Munnys and Dunnys you may or may not have seen in the past few weeks. As always, these are customs that weren't highlighted in individual posts on Tomopop, but were still worth bringing to your attention. And if it's not morning where you are ... get on a plane and fly until it is.

This week's got a few new customs, including one some quite deadly fellows. Really, I'd hope they were a part of your collection and on your side, because you wouldn't want them hunting you down! Hit the jump and check them all out!

My Pet Zombie by Squink!

Let's start with the custom from the header. It's Squink!'s newest piece, a 3" little zombie fellow. He actually looks a bit cuddly ... but I wouldn't touch him. You know, being a zombie and all. And unfortunately, he's sold out, but there's always a chance to get a Squink! custom in the future! Heck, I'm sure he's working on something now ...

Some Violent Fellas by Red Mutuca Studios

The Red Mutuca crew have just finished up their latest custom Dunny series, each a different, violent fellow with a different weapon in their arsenal. Clockwise from the top left corner, Luihz Unreal's piece is called "Deadly Hipo,"  Igor Ventura's is called "Killer Joke," Matucha's piece is "Toi-Chin-Gon" and Sergio Mancini's is "Project: Ninja." I quite like Matucha's of the bunch, especially, the nunchaku ears!

Boba Fett Dunny by Quin.Sey

I don't need a reason to post this. I like Boba Fett. Quin.Sey did a great job recreating him here, especially with that resin-sculpted head and the cloth cape. And Quin.Sey, if you're reading this, can you send me one of these fellows, too? Would make a pretty nice centerpiece, I think ...

Lion-O by Nikejerk

Nikejerk's newest custom is a commission for a long time collector of his. The base? A 3" Dunny, but he's got custom sculpted hair, sword, and Claw Shield — the last of which is based on a Trikky hand. Is it pretty darn awesome? You betcha!

Customs from MapMap

Finally, we some new customs from MapMap. His five newest custom Dunnys — Bioran, Rocky, Miden, Soy Blokhed and The Gordian — offer a little something for everyone, it seems! They'll be on sale starting today at his store, with one new one being released per day this week. That is, unless MapMap's newsletter subscribers, who got first crack at these, have not bought them all already!

[If there are any custom Dunnys or Munnys you spot and want to see featured in Munn-day Morning Recap, or if you're an artist who wants to send along a tip, feel free to e-mail us at tips (at) tomopop (dot) com!]

Meet Davidkraig at Kidrobot NY's May 18 customizing event

Want to come check out some live customizing and meet artist Davidkraig? If you're in New York City, you can do that on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Eastern at Kidrobot New York (118 Prince St., SoHo, Manhattan).  As for what he'll be working on ... I'm not too sure. But you've seen his work before, and I assume he'll be sculpting out/painting something just as impressive for the event.
