Movic teases new Hakuouki figures and I drool with excitement

How I had previously never heard of Hakuouki I'll never know, but let me tell you I'm remedying that situation like.. NOW. As soon as I saw these hotties hit my inbox I knew it was something I'd be keeping my eyes on, and I've determined I'm madly in love with Movic for teasing these figures. Given my limited skills at reading things in Japanese, a.k.a. none, I've at least determined that 2011 will be a fabulous year for male figures.

It looks as if Hijikata Toshizo, Okita Souji and Saito Hajime will be recreated in 1/10th scale figures, and while price is yet to be determined I can definitely say these will be going on my want list, assuming they look as good as they do in my head. The figures are based on the "battle version" outfits illustrated in the Hakuouki calendar. I'm so excited to see Saito, the leader of the third squad and master of the left hand sword technique, who just so happens to be my favorite of the hotties, and if I can only pick one it will definitely be him.

Since I've got a while until more information will be released on the figures I think it's definitely time I catch up and watch some Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan and maybe try my hand at those otome games these boys are famous for. Until then, I'll be keeping an eye out for more information I can share, which I hope will be soon!
