Monthly Megapixel: 'Tis the Season photo

Now that October is over and we are getting closer to "the onset of winter," I figured the appropriate theme for November's Megapixel would be the changing of the seasons. What does that mean exactly? Well, I've left it pretty open for interpretation since we're still in autumn yet, it's almost winter time. The Christmas music is already invading, and the holidays are upon us!

So, this month, your submissions should have something to do with the change of the seasons at this time of the year, and be sure to include "Monthly Megapixel" somewhere in your post title so we know what the entries are! As you know, last month we did some photo contests instead of a proper Megapixel, and a winner will be announced soon for our latest contest, the Spooktacular.

This month, you've got until Nov. 28, or just over three two one week to pull off your contest entry! I'm also going to repeat the "option prizing," and first place winners will get to choose between several items for their reward. As usual, the more entries we get the more stuff I'll look for to give away! If you have any questions, be sure to leave them in the comments section below or just e-mail me at kristina (at) tomopop (dot) com.

The rules are simple! You don't need to have narrative text in your story, as Scarecroodle and others have proven, in order for it to be good or acceptable. We've had folks make their entries look like comic strips as well, which is also encouraged, creative, acceptable, rad, you name it. There isn't really a minimum or maximum amount of images, although I think one of our readers figured out what the max amount of BBCode image lines are allowed in a c-blog post (it's.. a lot).

Your images must be at most 550 620 pixels wide (updated to fit the new page size!) in order to fit in the page properly, otherwise something's going to get cut off. There isn't a limit to how many images you post, since you're hosting them anyhow. In order to get some images on your blog post, just put them up on Flickr, Photobucket or any of those free image hosting services and link to them using BBCode tags (the line with the [IMG]<text>[/IMG] tags).

If you don't have a Tomopop log-in account, you won't be able to create a blog entry. If you're new to these contests, this is your first step! It's quick and easy, and once you're through, you need only click on the "create new blog" button at the top of the page, and title it with "Monthly Megapixel: <your story title here>" to be entered in the contest.

Lastly, those of you who don't live in the U.S. or Canada are not excluded from this contest. The only thing we ask is that you cover the shipping if you are to be prized on something. This way, we could open the contest to everyone! I promise it won't cost you an arm and a leg, too.

This month, the prizes you have got to choose from if you're the first place winner are: Noumi Kudryavka, Waffu Version sponsored by Kotobukiya (reviewed), Revoltech Mouri Motonari, Figuarts ZERO Luffy (reviewed) sponsored by Bluefin Distribution and POP Usopp Strong Edition (reviewed) which was sponsored by ToysLogic.

Good luck, everyone!

By request, here are links to everyone's entries! Since most of them were titled ''Tis the Season,' I just made a list with your handles.

Wilda
Orannis
GhostNPC
Rivelets
Kira Yamato44
Tears4dragons
Scarecroodle

the instant I saw the title a couple ideas popped up now lets see if i can make something coherent. i haven't done one of these in awhile, so i'm pretty pumped.
I've got my eye on that Usopp. :P I was going to enter the last time he went up, but college got in the way.
i was surprised when i saw my photo, lol
yey to new MMP contest ^^
So... can our entry just be a pretty photo we took with no story or does it have to have include or be a full story with multiple pictures to be eligible?
@yuyu I'm pretty sure you can do whatever you want. one great photo is better then a dozen lame ones lol
ooh, I might try this!
Got an idea but doubt it's a winning one and I certainly would love to win the Noumi.
@yuyu: love the icon! I'm watching haganai right now, too. =) - anyway, the idea is to have a story involved, but you don't necessarily have to include a narrative. If the image on its own pretty much gives you a story/setting, it's all good in my book. I don't really place too many limits on the Megapixel contest in favor of you folks getting as creative as you like.
