Welcome to the future, Tomopop! It's January, first month of a brand new decade, and that means plenty of toys to discuss! The Tomopop Team huddled together and picked out the toys they wanted the most this month once again for our DO WANT feature. And this month, there's a whole lot of love for anime figures. I mean, there have been some forgettable ones this month, but plenty of cute and cool ones this month, too!

Jonathan Tubbs wants PLUM's Yabate Miu from Parasol

Jonathan: Let's get one thing straight. I hate this feature. Every month it's a grueling task of trying to figure out which child I must keep and which I must banish out into the darkness so the family can continue to survive. Yeah. It's that bad.

This month I have to go with Parasol's Yatabe Miu by PLUM. It may not look like a high quality figure but that's made up with the aura she emits. I can look at Miu, feel her gentle spirit and know she is a sweet heart. That and her outfit is completely cute. Can someone find out how to make her real? Please~?

Colette: ARGH now I want that one to be mine! Curse you Tubbs!

Jonathan: We can always share her, Colette. ^_~

Brian Szabelski wants Max Factory's Tsumugi Kotobuki Figma

Another month, another must-have Figma. I always knew mai waifu would be coming out in this format, and I plan on buying her. She is not only adorable, but helps me forget those other weird k_on figures I've seen of her before. Except the only problem is I've got so much on pre-order now, and another Figma coming next month so I can take part in the winter hat and mittens promotion, that my dear Mugi-chan will have to wait. *sigh*

Leah Bayer wants Cospa's Teddie plush

I love Teddie. He is perhaps my favorite video game character of all time. That's right, OF ALL TIME. So when I saw this awesome plush, my heart skipped a beat. Finally, a Teddie with a removable head! It was like my wildest dreams had come true.

Stephen Donaldson wants Brent Nolasco's Jessamine Gordo

Out of all of the pieces released in January, Brent Nolasco's Jessamine Gordo has to be my favorite. Ok, I know this isn't really a Do Want as I already have this piece, but I somehow managed to actually get everything I wanted this month (Complete Dunny Fatale set, blue Rose Vampire, etc), but this amazing hand painted piece has to be my favorite thing to be released this month. Brent's attention to detail really shines on his Gordos and this green is a great contrast to the purple of the original. I can't wait to pick him up at some point this week!

Rio McCarthy and Robert Oden want Sideshow Collectibles' Premium Format Figure of Gambit

Rio: I was so sad the day the pre-orders went up to find out that I missed getting my chance for the Sideshow Exclusive version since I really wanted the one with the charged card. I put myself on the waitlist, but here's to hoping I get that slim chance of owning one of these sexies for myself!

Robert: Time and time again, Sideshow is able to condense years and years of source material and condense it down into a figure that is a perfect representation of a character. Gambit here is no exception. Seriously, if you could look inside my brain when you say the word "Gambit" this figure is what you will see. Perfection.

Jason Millward wants Mattel's MOTUC Skeletor

I want a freaking Skeletor figure, damn it! I hate you, Mattel, and everything you stand for. This whole 3-minute-window-to-buy-figures-that-aren't-produced-in-an--attempt-to-satisfy-demand system that you've got going here is complete and utter bullshit. Somewhere there is a huge, blazing, forest fire. I want you to go find it. Travel there. Leap into it. Then slowly die.

Brad Rice wants Houkagu Play's Girlfriend from Kotobukiya

I recently re-read Houkago Play, and it's suddenly made me lust for this figure. The figure looks great from all the photos I've seen, but it's more the meaning behind it that makes me really want this figure badly. It'd be a great birthday gift for me from all of you Otakon attendees *nudge nudge*
