Monthly DO WANT: February 2010 Edition photo

February is the shortest month of the year, but don't tell us that: it's felt like it's gone on forever! Toy Fair might have had a lot to do with that, and while we're both glad and sad it's gone for various reasons, it also gave us light into all the awesome toys we'll get to see this year. Of course, that means it's time for us to get together to give you our DO WANTS for the past month! And boy, is it a nice, nice list!

Hit the jump to check out all of our picks for February!

Colette Bennett wants Max Factory's Black Rock Shooter Figma

I'm kind of sick with the quantity of announced figures I want from this past month. Wonder Fest was absolute insanity for the type of toys I like to collect. In the end though, I'm going to choose the Black Rock Shooter Figma as my top pick. I know she'll be affordable, she comes with a giant gun which I can use for photoshoots with my other figures, and last but not least, she's freaking awesome.

Brian Szabelski wants Max Factory's Seena Kanon swimsuit figure

I am such a sucker for girls in swimsuits. I also happen to enjoy Tony Taka's illustrations and Max Factory's figures, with one glaring exception. So when you mix all three together and come out with something as gorgeous as their new Seena Kanon swimsuit figure, I just can't say no to it. Just look at how cute she is. I mean, how could you not want that as part of your collection? How?

Leah Bayer and Stephen Donaldson want Volks' R-Blade Kos-Mos

Leah: I've been drooling over the original version of this sculpt for quite some time, but was always on the fence about buying it because of the price tag. Well, it turns out this one will be even more expensive ... but one way or another, she will be mine. That sword is just insane! I many not eat for several weeks, but KOS-MOS is totally worth it.

Stephen: Hmm ... This is a bit of a toughie ... I want ALL of the Black Rock Shooter and Dead Master stuff from WonderFest, but I already know that I will be getting all of that eventually as it is released. The big item that I would LOVE to own is the Volks Kos-Mos blade-version as it's just so large and so amazingly detailed. I may have to rob a bank for this one, but it will definitely be at my house one day.

Anthony DePasquale wants Max Factory's Archer Figma

When Saber was first announced all those years ago, there were immediate cries for Archer. But instead, we got another Saber and after her, we got Shirou and then ... another Saber. And then we got Rider, and all hope seemed lost, but at WonFes, we finally saw him. And it was GLORIOUS! Our cries have finally been answered and I cannot wait for it.

Chris Hansbrough wants Kotobukiya's Fine Art Thor statue

I am having way too much trouble deciding what I want the most that I've seen. There are so many things I want.  But then I remembered something. I remembered the Kotobukiya Fine Art Thor. Yes, it comes out in a week to U.S. comic shops, but Thor is one of my favorite Marvel characters behind only the greatness that is NOVA and holy bojangles, this thing looks amazing. When it comes to something I really am eager and excited for, it is definitely that. So damn you, Tomopop. Before I found you, I only ever paid attention to Bowen and barely knew Kotobukiya existed. Now I want EVERYTHING they put out and am practically wetting myself in anticipation for the DC Bishoujo figures due to the fact that unlike DC Direct, Koto actually seems to have people who work in quality control.

Matthew Kaplowitz wants Bandai's Armor Plus Tekkaman Blade figure

I was torn between the 1/6 Rocketeer figure from Medicom and the Armor Plus Tekkaman Blade figure from Bandai, but in the end, I had to go with the tekkaman figure. I have never found a Tekkaman figure that ever cost less than a hundred bucks, and amazingly I did with the help of Andres over on Amiami. For a figure that is about 6 inches tall (and about 8 inches tall with its removable armor), I suppose it is a decent price for an import, but do I really want to spend that much on a figure? Ask me in a month and see if I have a new figure on my shelf!

I am hoping, though, that with the popularity of the Wii fighting game Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, we might get a more reasonably priced figure. But for now, this will hold me over. Voltekker!!!

Rio McCarthy wants Max Factory's Michael Jackson Figma Thriller Ver.

What more could I want? It's MICHAEL JACKSON. It's a Figma. Consider me absolutely tickled pink. Granted.. you know that if I get a Thriller one I could think of about 5,000 other outfits and versions that I would want as well. I could have a whole house filled with Michael Jackson Figma! (But psst~! Max Factory! I'd LOVE a Smooth Criminal version so that I could actually have a figure do the lean!)

Jason Millward wants Factory Entertainment's Dread Pirate Roberts sword replica

Honestly nothing was jumping out at me too so hard that it made a massive impact beyond the dull fog of "Kind of Want". But the second I saw this, I pretty much became obsessed. The idea of having the The Dread Pirate Roberts' sword from The Princess Bride handing on my wall is just overwhelming. I am praying that I can afford it as they haven't yet released the pricing. I hope I don't have to start selling off my DVD collection.

Chris Seto wants Wave's Yen Xing Five Star Stories kit

Normally, I would have gone for the new 1/4 KOS-MOS prepainted statue from Volks, but without a price and a release date a few months away, I'm holding it back for later.

So that means that the Yen Xing Five Star Stories kit wins it for me, closely followed by Almecha Linebarrel, even though I can't afford either right now, so I'm hoping for a re-release of the yen xing further down the line. Hey, it's called "DO WANT" right? Not "will get!!"

Garrett Yim wants Square Enix's Bleach Play Arts Kai: Ichigo Kurosaki Bankai version

It's about time we got some really detailed, poseable Bleach figures that have all the awesome accessories like the Final Fantasy Play Arts have. The facial details blow my mind. The Ichigo one comes with his Vizard mask. These blow the Toynami ones right out of the water. I am really looking forward to seeing these in color.

And, if they do refuse, I want names!
