Miyazawa Model Exhibition: VertexIt's always great to have more options when there are choices to be made. Like when a new manufacturer enters the market to bring new figures for us to be interested in. The latest is a company by the name of Vertex who made an appearance at Wonder Festival 2012 Summer back in July. So far the only real product to come out by them is the expensive 1/6-scale Asuka from Evangelion. As a new company, they certainly have to make a splash at the Miyazawa Model Exhibition to get retailers interested in carrying their goods. And a splash they are making. We already saw them announce a 1/7-scale Mitsuru from Persona 4 Arena for their Dwell PVC line of figures but what else do they have coming? For more fighting game fans, Vertex plans on releasing a 1/8-scale Noel Vermilion from the upcoming BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma. So in other words, Noel in one of the more awful outfits. Thanks, guys. From another title that has you beating people up, a 1/7-scale figure of Ikaruga from Senran Kagura will coming with her already in her battle damaged outfit. No surprise there given what the title is about. Karuta and Ririchiyo from Inu x Boku SS get paired up as 1/8-scale figures as well as Golden Darkness and Mea from To LOVEru Darkness. Whether they truly will be together or not is yet to be seen. Vertex also has more Evangelion up their sleeve with their electroys series of geeky items turned into functioning products. Kind of like something you see from ThinkGeek. You can have the NERV Headquarters act as a humidifier or act as a speaker for your iPhone and iPod. Techonology at its finest! Need to know what time it is? Have EVA-01 tell you! There's even stuff in the background for Monster Hunter like a fan and whatever the heck that meat on the grill will do. Gimmicky geek stuff but still amusing nonetheless. The PVC offerings have me curious about this company. Hopefully their products will be competively priced with other figure manufacturers. They do have my attention so far but they'll need to back it up with more releases outside of their expensive Asuka. What do you say? Welcome to this new maker or screaming for them to go away so you can protect your wallet? [via Figure Maniacs (Twitter)] Did you know?
