Miyazawa Model Exhibition: A+, Clayz, and others

8:00 AM on 11.09.2012 // Tianxiao Ma

A+ continues to be the most optimistically named toy company from Japan

A+ continued to not live up to its name at the Miyazawa Model Exhibition. We don't post about them very much, and it's probably all for the better. They demonstrated that they're still making the gaudy, gigantic figures that no one would really want to own with that 1/2.5-scale Hatsuho Kazami. It casts off, of course. The little lady in a kimono is Yune from Croisee in a Foreign Labyrinth. That pose is awkward and her face is just weird. The 1/4.5 Branwen does give me some hope, but alas there's still no painted version.

Next up we have a trio from Clayz. The Elsie and Haqua figures are adorable, but I'm not sure about the butt-spreading Tamaki. Well she's not actually spreading her butt, but that's really the perfect camera angle to make it look like she's about to have some butt-sex.

Evolution-Toy brought robots to the mix, such as Gattai Robot Atlanger, and two versions of Koutetsu Jeeg. Lastly there's Medicom Toy, who showed off their poseable Real Action Heroes figures. You can see Madoka and Mami from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and the Evangelion pilots including pirate Asuka.
