Mikatan shares some photography tipsAlthough Mikatan's photos are pretty much all alike, I always like the shots she takes in her previews. The simple setup in front of her computer, with office lighting, does a fine enough job highlighting the figure she's showing off. This time Mikatan has a post about the process. It's really pretty inspired in its minimalism. She shoots with a "borrowed" Sony Alpha 350. It's supported by her knee because she's too lazy to use a tripod. The lighting is done by holding cardboard over the figure, casting a shadow to give it some depth. Easy but effective! The post also discusses Nendoroid joints. I've never had a problem with them, like, conceptually, but maybe if your spatial reasoning isn't on my level then it's worth a read. Did you know? The latest update to their blog was all about magnets. Development is still in the early prototype stages, but it looks like the magnets may even be strong enough to support two Nendoroids if things go as planned. The more posing and display options, the better, I say!
