MIB's Agent G reports in for Kotobukiya's Bishoujo lineWhen it was announced, I think most of us scratched our heads and asking why. You may still be scratching and asking why when you lay your eyes on the unveiled sculpt for Kotobukiya's latest addition to their Bishoujo line, Agent G of Men in Black 3. She's not in the movie, so just enjoy the aesthetic of a girl dressed up in a black business suit. Talking about the figure itself, I'm honestly indifferent towards it. It's what you've come to expect from Yamashita, and if it's your jam, then you'll love this figure. While I do like some of his works, this translation into PVC feels kind of lifeless. Agent G is bending down from the sidewalk to the streets, avoiding the tentacle popping up from the fire hydrant. As to why it's a tentacle, it's MiB and not that kind of PVC for once! A contextual use of tentacles is sadly an achievement at this point. Her face isn't as appealing to me as past Shunya works, but she will also include sunglasses to hide that. More optional features include posing her with your choice of neuralizer or standard-issue gun along with the time-jump device. For those interested in picking up Agent G, she'll be available in February of 2013. I'm hoping that the issues will be fixed up by then, but maybe I'm just being too picky. Take a look at the gallery and see if you agree. [Images via Kotobukiya] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
