Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker's Naked Snake from Play Arts: Just because I'm unworthy doesn't mean I won't get it photo

Way back in the 90's there was this group of high-schoolers that figured themselves for the alternative to the social norm. Except they never accepted ANYBODY. They would always look down upon people for not knowing about such and such a band or film before they got mainstream notice. I was totally one of those people. Yes, I knew about Sebadoh and Fugazi way before you knew how to even pronounce them. Yes, this made me pathetic in my own right. But the thing that kept me from being a poser was I never pretended. And I'd admit when I was wrong.

I never touched a Metal Gear game before Solid 4 was released. Only then did I go back and play them all. MGS 3 became one of my all-time favorite games (after initially hating the game), and Naked Snake/Big Boss amongst my favorite vidja game protagonists. All well after all you cool kids knew the score.

I feebly lift my white flag in acknowledgment that a boss new version of Big Boss is up for preorder at Hobby Search. This is him in his sneaking suit from the recent PSP game Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Just like how I'm cooler than you because I knew about Nirvana before you owned all of their albums, you're cooler than me because of Metal Gear, even though I have also caught up. Truce? 4,080 yen and meant to ship in September.

Wow, what is up with company name typos? HLJ has it marked "Plat Arts" atm and you called the company "Pay Arts" in the title =p

I love the headsculpt and the overall paint. The detailing looks decent in terms of material resemblance. However, even in those (promo?) photos he's looking a little disjointed. For instance, it doesn't look like the leg is attached properly at the thigh joint:

It's probably a good thing then that he presumably wasn't given a bicep joint.
Wow, you were a couple of years ahead of me, but your first paragraph totally describes my last couple years of high school. And I haven't played any MGS Solid games to completion; I think I only tried the first or second. I do own the fourth. I should probably get on that, huh?
I've already pre ordered. :) Just finished playing Peace Walker and fell for Snake all over again.
Im better than you because I knew about Nirvana AND the Melvins AND Metal Gear. :)

btw, preordered
Waiting for the Jungle Fatigues release. Love Big Boss, but the man looks weird in a sneaking suit.
Mines coming through the mail as it is probably.
2nd what Phoenix said. The Jungle Fatigues and bosses are coming later in the fall. They all look amazing. This month I'm getting my Momohime so that was my toy budget. *sigh*
Pay Arts? LOL.
Mmm Snake is looking sexy here.

Oh, and it's vidya.
Pacific Northwest pronounces it vidja.
