Megahouse's Monster Girl Ranka Lee photo

I'm a big fan of Macross Frontier. It provides everything for any kind of fan, except a conclusion to the huge love triangle. Ugh. Either way, Megahouse is here to provide you with a moe-licious figure of the adorable Ranka Lee. If you're a fan of the series, the figure might look familiar to you. This picture is on the cover of one of Ranka's CDs. Even though the picture on the cover is almost completely hidden, the CD comes with stickers, one of them being the picture that this figure is modeled after.

The only thing that bugs me about this figure is that her hair is too yellow. In the original picture, her hair is fading from green to yellow but the figure hardly emphasizes the green at all. She also wasn't wearing a bottom piece in the picture, but they added it for the figure.

Based on a 1/8 scale, the figure will cost you ¥5,985. She is set to be released in May 2009 and already available through pre-order at HobbySearch. It would be great if they released an Alto figure wearing a kimono. Ah, my pretty boy Hime-sama.

MOAR OH THE MOE:

Legacy Comments

Sigh, Ranka. So deliciously moe!
yeah her hair is a little too yellow for my tastes maybe if they do a "Kira" pose of Ranka Lee I would buy it in a heartbeat. I'm hoping Alter can hear me right now.
When I originally saw this, I was wondering what was up with the yellow hair. Not too fond of this super-duper "moe-licious" version. I would definitely like a more traditional Ranka figure that didn't cost me an arm and a leg from some specialty set. Mmm... yes.... one from Alter... that would be hot.
@ Komik City - Yeah, the yellow hair isn't something they made up, haha. It is just copying an official drawing. And I AGREE, I love traditional Ranka myself. To see her this way just isn't my style. That's more for Sheryl. XD
With the exception of the yellow hait, the figure looks ok. But I'll probably skip it since I'm more of a Klan Klan(Where's mt non-loli Klan...) and Sheryl guy.
IIRC, this pose was also used in the show, as the nose-art (or side of the nose) of one of the small transport ships.
Not sure if it occurred before or after the CD sticker went out.
