Medicom's Ayanami Rei without the plug suit; school uniform version

It's cool that Medicom is producing one of their 1/6th Evangelion action dolls in a school uniform, but something seems a bit off. I'm not sure I can put my finger on it but I'd like to think it has to do with the fact that every one the other Medicom action figures we've seen come with their plug suits which cover those joints.

I know, I should be used to seeing joints on these figures by now. They're suppose to be posable, after all. But I've never been fond of actually seeing them on my figures, which is why I usually stick to my PVC statues. That said, it could also be the fact that she's slightly smiling that's throwing me off. 

Still, this is fairly neat considering it stands out from the rest of the line that I've seen so far. I'm probably just going to want the plug suit version instead, but I liked the idea. If you're interested, she'll be shipping around October for roughly $180.
