Max Factory's Medaka keeps busy in this new gallery photo

While Max Factory is probably best known for their figma line, they aren't too shabby when it comes to scale figures, too. Case in point: the Student Council President that aims to take on all of the school's problems, Medaka Kurokami from Medaka Box. Mikatan's latest gallery highlights all of finer points of the new 1/8th scale figure last seen back in July at Wonder Festival 2012 Summer. And in true Mikatan fashion she isn't afraid to get up close and personal with Medaka.

The impressive sculpting is viewed from every angle, showing off some very fine details that allow the figure as a whole to pop. The serious yet relaxed expression in her eyes and the layering of her hair really make her face stand out. The variety of gloss and matte finishes do a great job appearing as different materials and textures. I'm not too crazy about the fan, it's very plastic looking and didn't get the same amount of attention as the rest of the figure. As a final touch, the two green armbands (if I remember correctly they're for the secretary and treasurer) are removable. Hopefully that means there's a Mogana Kikaijima figure on the way. Overall it's a very striking figure despite the simple pose.

Pre-orders are planed for August 30 in Japan which means you should start watching stores Wednesday night.
