Matty 'exclusive' JLU packs showing up at retail
Like other past exclusives, overstock retailers like TJ Maxx and Marshalls may be receiving a supply of Matty Collector's (formerly) web-exclusive Justice League Unlimited packs. One of the packs, which originally retailed for US$30, was spotted locally in a Marshalls with a US$13 price tag. The pack in question features a Brainiac-infused Darkseid with his son, Kalibak. This Darkseid is specific to the 2-episode series finale of Justice League Unlimited where Darkseid is unwittingly resurrected by Lex Luthor in an attempt to bring back Brainiac (parts of which apparently fused with Darkseid somehow). After repaying Lex (by attempting to grant him a quick death), Darkseid immediately attempted another invasion of Earth to avenge his previous death. While I'm generally not a fan of the line, the price point seems difficult to pass up. If nothing else, this serves as a reminder to check your local overstock retailers periodically for cool deals.
