Fans of the girls of Hyakka Ryouran may remember that we had a single image of Matabei in our Mega Hobby Expo coverage as well as in this months hobby magazine scans but she was unpainted at the time. Well, fear not dear readers as Alter have now released colour images as well as some release details for the next Hyakka Ryouran figure!
Matabei is scheduled for release next May at a price of ¥8,190. At the time of writing, she's not yet up for preorder at the usual sites, but if you can't wait, Toyslogic have her for preorder for $155 on their site.
Is it just me or does Matabei look rather plain compared to the previous Hyakka Ryouran releases? Alter seem to be scaling back on the dynamic poses recently. Having said that, it does suit her quite and (mostly) stoic character. The anime has her portrayed as a strictly side character who's main purpose is to be the butt of a lot of jokes, and losing her clothes frequently but that applies to all the girls. Anyone else going to pick her up, even if it's only to complete your collection?
