Marvel Universe Jubilee, Prof X, Blastaar pre-orders open photo

I believe it was two NYCCs ago that we caught our first glimpse of Hasbro's 3.75-inch Jubilee and have since had quite a wait on our hands. However, the wait is now finally... well, almost finally over since pre-orders have opened for the mutant-turned-vampiress as well as a Jim Lee-styled Professor X, and the Fantastic Four foe Blastaar

Despite Jubilee coming with one of her iconic plasmoids, the figure is based on her more recent incarnation (ie, a de-powered mutant following the events of M Day whom was later turned into a vampiress (or vampirette?) but only after using a power-suit (and the alias, "Wondra") in the interim) which no longer has said powers. I imagine that a good many would probably have preferred her 90s Jim Lee-style outfit (made iconic, in part, by X-Men: The Animated Series) but most fans, myself included, are just happy to finally get a Jubilee figure in a modern line. Plus it's only a matter of time until we get that other version anyway.

Speaking of X-Men: The Animated Series, fans of the hit cartoon will no doubt be overjoyed by the opportunity to pick up a Professor X in his Jim Lee-styled hover chair. Not only is this Professor X's first appearance in the 3.75-inch scale but it's also the first time we've seen the Jim Lee hover chair in a modern figure line. Plus you can expect to see a lot of customs that make use of that business-suited mold (and probably a few official re-decos as well).

I'm personally not familiar with Blastaar (although I know a few people who want to use him as a base for an Ulik custom), I can tell you that he shares parts with Apocalypse/Juggernaut/etc. Blastaar is also available in a clear-handed variant which represents his power use.

Currently the three can be pre-ordered as a set for US$45 although retailers should have them listed individually down the road. They should also turn up at brick&mortars where they'll likely retail for US$9~10 each. Of course, given that BBTS lists the pre-order as being for a February 2013 release, there's no telling when these figures will hit mass retail.
