Marvel Legends Moonstar rides onto the scene
Marvel.com has released photos of the latest addition to the Marvel Legends line, Moonstar. While we've known for a while that she would be joining the line, this marks the first time we have photos and... surprise, surprise, it's a recycled mold. Dani Moonstar shares almost her entire body with the previously released Madame Masque/Madame Hydra (which in turn was partly used for Hope Summers before that, etc). The visibly recycled implies that the character may be scaled a little too tall, but I'm really hoping this won't be the case. Moonstar comes in one of her New Mutants costumes (not the one I remember, though) which looks fairly decent. While there currently aren't any details regarding her accessories, smart money would wager that her pet pegasus (or whatever the Norse equivalent of a pegasus is) Brightwind won't be included. Hopefully we'll get some valkyrie accessories. More after the jump.
For those unfamiliar with the character, Danielle (Dani) Moonstar was a mutant with more abilities than you could shake a sword at. Although currently de-powered following M-Day, Dani's powers included creating illusions, telepathy (including with animals!), and psionic arrows. During her time in Asgard, Dani became a valkyrie after rescuing a winged horse (Brightwind, not to be confused with She-Ra's horse Swift Wind), which added the abilities to sense death and some magic weapons. So we really have a lot of weapon possibilities although it's possible we won't see any of them. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
