Mario plushies on the way to North America

Nintendo-licensed toys? Nothing new. They’ve been doing this for years, whether it’s been through Happy Meals or at Nintendo World, and heck, I own several of them.

Nintendo plushes also aren’t new, especially Mario-themed ones. But later this month, another set of plushes, all from New Super Mario Bros., will be reaching North America. Banpresto are behind this current line, which will feature Mario, Petey Piranha, Goomba, Boo and a mushroom. Each is just under 5 inches tall and comes from a series launched in Japan in 2007.

Entertainment Earth lists a pre-order for an assortment of 6 plushes at $49.99, while the entire series is sold out at Play-Asia. Call it a gut feeling, but I have a feeling these will be hard to find.
