Lunartik serves up The Art of TeaTea has been an important thing for Lunartik, both as a creative fuel and as inspiration for his Tea in a Cup series. His newest resin piece celebrates that combination of art and tea in the appropriately titles The Art of Tea. Featuring a paintbrush sticking out of a filled teacup, each 1-inch-tall resin teacup sits on a hand-painted wooden plinth with a nickel-plated plaque attached to the plinth. Tiny rubber feet on the bottom of the saucer give the tea a levitating look, and the finished piece appears to be about 6 inches tall from the tip of the brush to the bottom of the plinth (though the actual height of the brush above the teacup is up for debate, it seems). Available with six colored paintbrush tips — red, orange, yellow, green, blue and white — The Art of Tea is limited to 18 pieces, each signed and numbered, and is on sale now for £49 each in Lunartik's shop. It's a different take from Lunartik's character-based art, but I kind of dig it. How about you? Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
