Look at this lovely Lili preview!

Kotobukiya - 1/7 Scale

I've never been the best at fighting games, even though I've loved the genre at least as far back as when I was merely in second grade and just mashed the buttons. Since it first arrived, I've always really liked Tekken, and it's one of the few franchises I'm not absolutely terrible at, which helps! Like a lot of fans, one of my favorite characters is the adorable Lili, so I've been waiting to see what would happen with Kotobukiya's Bishoujo line.

Today we've been given a quick preview of the upcoming release, though I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. The pink outfit is certainly suitable for some of Lili's flashier outfits, though at the same time I'd like to see her in something bolder. There also seem to be some complaints about her hair, and I'm inclined to agree that the top seems to be a bit too high and could use being lowered slightly to the level of her bangs.

Other than that, her face could use a bit of a rework as well, perhaps. It's often hard to completely capture an artist's unique style in 3-D, but while I'm not completely put off here, it also doesn't fall in line with the original Yamashita illustration, either. I might just be nitpicky, so what do you think? Either way, we'll be keeping an eye out for the pre-orders to show up for her May release.
