Looks potentially pretty cute; I need to minimize my purchases of characters in which I know nothing about the source material though : )
I was waiting for a Mio figure wearing that outfit, depending on the final product I'll probably buy it.

Well, lots of good news for fans of both K-ON! and Mio Akiyama ... she's obviously the favorite character of the series, and figures of her are certainly coming out left and right. Kyoto Animation announced a 1/8 figure of her recently (Via Wcloudxkumo) in that precious ensemble with the blue and black details and the little hat.
This is the first figure they have ever announced, and while we do not know yet if they will create it themselves or enlist the help of an outside figure company. Either way, I love the pose -- it's got a truly dynamic look to it.
It'll be out next February and the price hasn't been announced yet. They actually launched a whole page dedicated to the figure, so if you'd like to nose around there and keep an eye on things, you'll want to bookmark this. Check out the gallery for more pictures too. What do you think?
