Kotobukiya summons ArtFX-J Dark Magician for pre-orderIt's been some time, but that's probably why I forgot that Kotobukiya had a Dark Magician PVC in their hand. We last saw it at Wonder Fest Summer, so finding it being available for pre-order this morning is a nice wake up call. The Dark (or Black for the purist) Magician is the latest in the ranks for Yu-Gi-Oh! as done by Kotobukiya, joining the previous releases of the Dark Magician Girl, Yami Yugi (reviewed), and Seto Kaiba. As for what you'll be getting in this release, the figure will come in at 1/7 scale. According to the specs, you'll be needing at least foot of space, as it comes in at 300 mm in height. The pose captures him in mid-air, with his coat also serving the extension for the base. He'll also have a metallic finish in the paint, but it will come across as being more pearlescent. Also, for an added bonus for the first production run, you'll receive a Pot of Greed keychain. The ArtFX-J Dark Magician will be due out in January of 2013 for the price of ¥7,800.
