Kotobukiya's preview of Elmina from Shining Wind

6:36 PM on 11.24.2008 // Colette Bennett

I've come a long way when it comes to the Shining figure series. When I first saw them I had never played a Shining title. After being amazed by their beauty over and over, I finally started tracking down the old games and giving them some play time. This would never have happened had I not discovered the series backwards -- through the figures! This is one of the things I love most about toy collecting -- you never know what else you may discover you love because of your love for toys.

This most recent prototype is Elmina, from Shining Wind. She will be 1/8 and most likely released next year. I think she's beautiful, even without paint. I wish I would wake up tomorrow and suddenly find that all the Shining figures ever made had appeared on my shelves in the night. Nerds have weird fantasies, don't we?
