Kotobukiya has been steadily gaining more of my favor over 2009. That trend is definitely going to continue into 2010. What really stood out to me has been the level of detail put into their ArtFX line, primarily anything involving Iron Man. With a new movie on the way, and new suit, Kotobukiya stepped up with their release of the Mark IV Iron Man armor.

The Mark IV armor will have what you expect from the ArtFX line. Iron Man stands tall, coming in at the 1/6 scale, with the figure itself measuring 13". What really gets my attention is the LED lighting for the repulsors and Arc Reactor. Even better, the base is the Arc Reactor, which itself lights up. This is definitely an upgrade from their releases for the first movie.

While I'm deeply anticipating the movie's release date of May 2, we won't have to wait as long for Kotobukiya's Mark IV. The figure will ship on March 20 with a MSRP of 119.99. It is currently available for pre-order from BigBadToyStore for a discounted $99.99.
