I know we do spend a hearty amount of time gibbering about figures being made from the Shining series, reason being that they are pretty much always exquisitely well made, beautiful and worth collecting. Kotobukiya's recent announcement regarding the production of the Noire version of Clalaclan from Shining Wind follows suit, taking a startlingly different approach from the original but producing breathtaking results.
Found on the Shining figure series blog by the resourceful Heisei Democracy, this darker version of Clalaclan ought to get fanboy hearts pumping double time. It's apparently still in progress, as the aim is to make the skin tone lighter and the base darker -- basically, to make Clalaclan look a bit gothier. Being no small fan on the look, I have to admit I have a ridiculous smile plastered on my face right now.
The blog says preorders will open soon, so as soon as we hear the word on when, you'll know. I'll give new meaning to the term Godspeed when I order this one, let me tell you.
