Kotobukiya has announced plans to produce new goods based on DC characters that will be reinterpreted by Japanese artists. They will begin with two of their coolest new product categories, the DC x Bishoujo line and the Stylized Vinyl figures.
This is to be a whole new approach to the DC characters even from concept to development and production. Kotobukiya plans to create a running series that will set well with the fans, and even steal a few hearts (which I can say they've already got mine.) They have years of experience in the Bishoujo department so I can't wait to see more takes on characters as time goes by. Right now I know I absolutely positively have to get my hands on the SD Joker that's teased in the image below or I'll throw myself a good old fashioned spastic fit!
Stay tuned for new updates relating to the series, as I'll be keeping a close eye out for new photos of these classic DC characters. Psst.. Kotobukiya.. I better be getting an adorable Harley Quinn!
