Kick-Ass figures expected to kick ass this October photo

Back at Toy Fair, we saw a quick glimpse of the Mezco figures from the upcoming comic turned movie, Kick-Ass. Now we get another tease of the figures, which are slated for an October release (despite the movie being released mid-April).

The 1:12 scale figures shown include Kick-Ass and Hit Girl, who each come with their signature weapons. Fans can also look forward to Kick-Ass Mez-itz and other figures and sculptures down the line from Mezco. Once we get official word, you can rely on us to let you know when to have your credit card in hand! As for figures of The Red Mist and Big Daddy, no news on if they are getting the plastic treatment but with enough fan support, anything is possible!

Unrelated to toy news, is anyone else really bothered by the trailers for Kick-Ass feeling way too much like a kiddie movie? I just don't like it, but maybe that is just me. Anyone else?

I'm loving the trailers...well, the red-band ones at least. It's hard to think "kiddie movie" when you've got Hit Girl slicing necks and throwing the c-word around. That and Scott Pilgrim are my two most-anticipated comic book adaptations coming out this year.
Watch the red-band trailers. You'll feel much less bothered by that "theory". Also, I'm honestly more interested in the Kick-Ass Mighty Muggs coming later. :D
The figures look terrible.

And the thing that annoys me about the commercials is that they claim nobody's ever tried being a superhero yet dozens have IRL and gotten killed during it (or been pathetic).
Wow, thanks for your input Scarecroodle.
I got a chance to see an early screening of it in early March-ish here in Dallas.

It's actually really good. Definitely not a kiddie movie. If anything it feels more like a high school movie.

It follows the comic pretty well up until the end where it changes some stuff around.

I think I may like the movie better than the comic though. I definitely recommend seeing it. It's a grand movie.

There was only one thing I didn't like. They didn't keep the scene where Kick-Ass uses the broken chairlegs as weapons near the end. =(
I've seen Kick-Ass. It is NOT a kids movie. Very violent, and they say things that are not age appropriate for the little kids. Other than that, it was a fantastic movie! Loved it!
