We have certainly had our fill with Revoltechs based on the films of Pixar. Woody was certainly popular, as were those of Monsters, Inc. In this month's issue of Figure Oh! Magazine, Kaiyodo is putting that Pixar license to its full use with several new releases for 2012. While a lot of these make a ton of sense, I'm left scratching my head at others.
For the ones that make sense, Mr. Incredible as a Revoltech is a figure that should be wanted. I want this as The Incredibles sadly didn't have the best toys and this is about as best it can get. Sadly, he won't be out until February of this year. A bit earlier though, in December, we'll be seeing the release of Revoltech Wall-E. While I'm not really sure how much of it can really utilize Revoltech joins, I think most of us can love this Wall-E.
As weird as Wall-E is, it's nothing compared to what else is being turned into Revoltechs. Also coming in December is Nemo. Yes, of Finding Nemo. The base is certainly awesome, but I can't think of a single thing to do with an articulated figure of a fish. Even stranger than a fish would be a car, so it should come as no surprise that Lightning McQueen of Cars is getting a Revoltech in January of 2012. It's...odd. I can see them doing something with the axles, but...why? Well, it makes money and Cars merchandise moves, so why not.
All of the Pixar Revoltechs will be priced at 2,400 yen when they are released. For some old fan favorites, you can also catch a re-release of Woody in March and Sully in April.
