There are quite a few Durarara fans out there, especially with it being 2010's anime of the year over at sister site Japanator. It should then come as no surprise that figures of the show's eclectic cast are starting to come out, starting with the headless horseman... er... horsewoman, Celty. In fact, she's so popular she's getting two version of her figure: a standard shiny black surface and a flatter, pearl paint version. With the release of Celty being a scant two months away, some additional photos have popped up of the pearl paint figure, labeled the Ikebukuro Night version. What I see frankly doesn't impress me much. While some of the detailing looks pretty good on Celty's body suit, the paint on her skin looks a bit sallow and lacking in life. There's also the hunk of plastic that is supposed to represent her smoke, but instead looks like a black version of the Dragon's Tear from Chrono Cross. Then again I haven't given DRRR a watch yet, so maybe after a watch I might be a bit more excited about these shots. Celty retails for ¥6,980. Anybody out there in Tomoland excited for Celty or would any of the other DRRR characters float your boat?
Lots of new stuff on the Shin Megami Tensei front coming from Megahouse so let's not waste time and get right to it!

I've said before that not all blatant fanservice figures are just trashy porn, and as usual, the masterful Tony Taka proves me right again. This time I don't think the blame is all on them however, as the series' fairly big-eyed art style is a bit awkward when viewed in 3D... It's a good time to be a fan of the original Digimon anime series! We've seen the entire series released on DVD, cameos in the latest anime series, new video games, and now more collector figures.
