Japanese papercraft fans take their art to a whole new level

Danny Choo has uncovered something that is quite interesting. Over at figure.fm, a user by the name of ibr_remote posted about a papercraft design program called Pepakura Designer, which lets users turn 3D models into papercraft creations. Danny did a bit of digging and uncovered a ton of blogs on this topic alone, with plenty of patterns to download, too.

It's really amazing to see some of the models that people have created, as some of them look almost like real PVC figures. The number of careful folds you must have to make on these papercraft figures is probably far more than I could ever manage to pull off, as much as I'd love to add them all to my tiny papercraft collection. Any of you out there in Tomopop Land into creating and putting together these incredible papercraft creations?
