Just like most popular anime titles, it was only a matter of time before K-On! would get a chance to be shown on the big screen. Of course, it is also only a matter of time before figures would begin to pop up based on the movie versions of these girls.
In the recent magazine scans it is revealed that Banpresto will be the first to go with all five girls sporting their movie clothes as a part of the Ichiban Kuji Premium line. ...oh, of course. Why wouldn't it be Ichiban Kuji whose quality hasn't impressed me since their Macross Frontier figures. Confound it, though! Yui and Ritsu are looking so cute in their outfits, though Ritsu's pose is a bit plain. Mio is looking like the mature woman that she is while Azusa is looking rather pretty. Mugi... it looks like she was caught off guard by a camera. ...Blast! Banpresto and whichever import service, just take my money already!
Again, it's Ichiban Kuji figures so these are lottery only so either A) you pay an exuberant price for them at release or B) patiently wait and hope they pop up for cheap individually on the after market. So now then.... When do we get K-On! The College Years in anime and figure form? I can see it now. Those kids and their wacky adventures with tough, yet soft on the inside, dorm adviser Mike. ...wait. That's Saved by the Bell...
