Hot Toys shows off their next Iron Man figure

I thought it was red and gold, not red and champagne

We're up to Mark XLII now on Iron Man armors? Tony Stark is a busy man indeed. What you're looking at is Hot Toys' quasi-poseable 1/6-scale Iron Man armor, which will be featured in Iron Man 3. Let me just get this out of the way: I think it looks stupid.

Hot Toys has done a fine job translating the armor into toy form, but that color scheme is horrible. The champagne-colored armor plates dominate too much of the overall color scheme, and just screams "90s Toyota Camry" to me.

If you must own this, at least know you'll probably be getting a quality figure. This isn't like Hot Toys' usual 1/6-scale figures; it has only a few joints for a limited range of poses. You'll get parts to make a standing pose and a flying pose. On top of that you'll also get LEDs which light up his various glowy parts, including the weak point which should be attacked for massive damage.

We'll be on the lookout for more pricing and pre-order info, but so far we know this is planned for Q2 2013.
