So the figure is based on the art and who made it?

I like Darth Maul. He's a guilty pleasure of mine, along with characters like Venom and Shadow the Hedgehog. They're dark, angsty and violent. They're also usually deus ex machina and poorly written, I mean Mauly here only had, what, three lines in the one movie he was in? But I dare you to say that to the face of this Kotobukiya produced figure.
The well sculpted and expressive face, that is. Not only is this an absolutely gorgeous sculpt of the Sith warrior, showing off his upper body tattoos and the wonderful detailing on his flowing robes, but the lightsaber actually lights up.
Koto, meet my wallet, wallet, Koto.
The figure is 1/7 scale, will cost around $159.34 USD and is dripping with pure awesome. You can pick this figure up in February 2011 and you can find more pre-order info here. I'm not sure if it comes with that wonderfully illustrated Darth Maul wall scroll behind it, but c'mon Koto, that would be an awesome pack in bonus.
