Hobby Japan treads old ground again with Ignis recolourSome of the more seasoned collectors among us may remember back when the original Ignis the White was released by Orchid Seed back in 2007. If you do remember her, then you may also remember that Orchid seed released a red coloured variant which numbered only 2000 made (and I own one). But Hobby Japan also made a black variant and made her an exclusive through their magazine. Renamed Nimbus the black, she could only be purchased if you posted in two tokens from the monthly hobby magazine along with the payment. Well, with the release of Ignis of the Endless winter fast approaching, Hobby Japan decided to revisit their old design and have announced a nimbus variant! And thus, Nimbus of the eternal night was born!! She's a Hobby Japan exclusive again, but at least this time, you don't need to send in any tokens or the like. This time, she'll be available on the Hobby Japan website store for the price of ¥12,399, although you'll probably want to use a proxy service of your choice if you don't have a Japanese shipping address. It doesn't look like Hobby Japan overlooked any of the details either. They even remembered to add the tattoo on her left breast to ensure that she follows the original figure. Nimbus is, of course, cast off-able, just like Ignis and there's also a special edition version which gives you a small mat in addition to the figure herself. But for me, I'm going to hold out for a red variant. Ignis the red was definitely the best!! [Via Hobby Japan store] Did you know?
