High School of the Dead figures are coming, which means the zombies are soon to follow

High School of the Dead is one of those series that many of us over at Japanator just love. I mean, it's a combination of zombies, tits, pantie shots, and American horror film references. Plus, it has high schoolers wielding military-grade weapons. Unfortunately, it's one of those series that has yet to be licensed (I can't think of a good reason why), and so you're left having to check out the scanlations of it.

And so, with the helpful guiding hand of Topher, I present to you Busujima Saeko and Miyamoto Rei, two of the femme fatales of High School of the Dead. Miyamoto Rei, the super-genius tsundere who refuses to admit that she's in love with the gun-toting otaku is made by Organic and will be retailing for 9,240 yen when she comes out in January of next year.

Meanwhile, Busujima Saeko, the daughter of a right-wing radicalist with a personal military and a heart of gold, is shown in her infamous naked apron style from the second volume, I believe. She's been put together by the fine folks at CharaAni, and will retail for 7,980 yen in February.

I'm really looking forward to the figure reviews of these two -- the manga itself is beautifully drawn with crisp, clean detail, and it looks like the figures will replicate that, garnering the rather prohibitive price tag. Unfortunately, I am not one to put figure with blatant panty shots on my shelf, so these two will be ones that I shall admire from afar. Oh, and also that price, unless one of you wants to sponsor me...
