Bandai's upcoming S.H. Figuarts Mario (and the two accessory packs) has received a preview gallery which besides paying an homage to the games also shows off some Super Smash Bros-styling fighting againt figma Samus and Link.
The gallery consists of what are easily some of the most exciting photos that we've seen for the figure thus far (and not just because we're seeing some serious Super Smashing). While we've seen some of these tricks replicated in some previous photos (and a cute video), they haven't gotten me anywhere near as pumped as this.
The other useful aspect is a demonstration of scale with Max Factory's figma Link (who fans will be using until Bandai does its own Link), for fans who would rather have a reenactment of a fight on their desk rather than a Mario stage. Truth be told, however, I'm still fenced on whether to pick a SHF Mario myself. A few years ago I probably would have jumped on the opportunity, but that enthusiasm has somewhat diminished since there's no telling if a SHF Bowser might appear in the future to menace the plucky plumber.
How's everybody else feeling about it these days?
