Here's your first look at Mass Effect 2 figures photo

At Toy Fair 2010, we were not allowed to show you the new Mass Effect 2 figures, but only two weeks later roughly, DC Direct has decided to reveal the first line. Kinda makes it seem pointless to not let the press take pics of them only to make the big reveal so close to the event, but I guess this is why we are not some multi-million dollar toy conglomerate.

Anyway,  here is your moment of glory, as you get to see the first pics of Commander Shepard, Tali, Thane and Grunt.  The second line is said to be comprised of Miranda, Legion, Mordin and Garrus. The first wave is set for release towards the end of this summer.

Legacy Comments

I was really excited about these figs when they were announced but.. I dunno. I've never handled a DC direct fig, are they any good articulation wise? Tali looks like she can't even move her thighs, worrisome..

That said, give me Garrus and Thane.. And I'll pay 50+ bucks to get a custom figure of MY Shepard.. Yeah, that's the good stuff.
I dunno who that dude in the first picture is. Shep's a gal, after all. Tali's really the one one I'd be interested in, in any case.

Glad Neca didn't wind up doing these. I've picked up a few of their figures now and the damn things keep falling all to pieces.
Stephen, your two comments are not very encouraging.. Damn, I was looking forward to this line..
I haven't even played either of the Mass Effect games (for shame, I know, but no 360), but the Thane figure = DO WANT. Plus, DC Direct's figure quality is generally pretty high. I dunno how they'll compare, but my Green Lantern figures were great quality AND were pretty damned poseable.
They need to quit using male Shepard (cover art, i.e.). My female Shepard could kick his #@!!!

Also, I love me some Tali but I'm not getting a good vibe from her figure...
More video game figures for me to buy :( Still need to get the original ME1 Shepard!

The WoW ones have no articulation, but these have standard articulation from what I remember - shoulders, elbows, legs, waist, head - but if it's like other DC Direct figures like this, they'll be fairly hard to stand up if you do wind up messing around with it.[/quote]
DC Direct figures are kinda nice..but the WoW line kinda sucks.
It's like they can't decide wether they want an action figure or statue, so what you got is an action figure with no articulation, or a statue with really bad seams.
And quality control on painting..my Broll Bearmantle had a big patch of unpainted space!
But they are nicely sculpted.
"First look" on Mass Effect 2 figures? Lol

I posted about this weeks ago: http://actionfiguresbuff-jon.com/biowares-mass-effect-2-and-action-figures/
Hmm, I would rather have high quality non-articulated versions, some dramatic poses.
