Halfbad Toyz enters the TMNT fray with a custom Triceraton photo

First it was Daniel Yu and his custom Rocksteady. Then he comes right back and gives us a custom Rahzar. And from that I get a tip that Yu was inspired by Monsterforge's custom Wingnut and Mutagen Man. Well, here we are as a new challenger approaches after Monsterforge tipped me off (another who was apparently inspired first by Monsterforge). Introducing Halfbad Toyz and his custom Triceraton, complete with repainted guns and everything. Someone up there must love me (Jesus, it's Jesus), otherwise I have no explanation as to why so many awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles customs are appearing in my life. Whatever the reason, let's focus on the current action figure in front of my blessed face.

The Triceraton figure was always one of my favorites, certainly in my top 10 from the Mirage action figure line, so seeing what Halfbad has done here pleases me to no end. Gone are the eye-assaultingly tacky teal pants, replaced with a much more natural army green. The bright orange skin has also been repainted, getting toned back to a far darker shade. What's placing this custom so high in my mind right now though are the eyes. Pupils? Gone, replaced with just a reddish glow that brings the whole piece together.

And then there are the guns! Damn were the TMNT figure accessories cool, and the new paint here really makes those stand out. The detailed line inking lets the intricacies of the weapons pop, making me want this in my hands right this very second so that I may begin with the "pew pew"ing that it so rightfully demands. Halfbad, I salute you and place you up on the wall of TMNT customizers. So then, with yet another standout custom added, there's only one thing to ask: "Who's next?!"

Hey thanks for putting up my custom! I actually did this a few months ago, and was inspired by Mosnterforge's customs.

I did a Rocksteady as well, and currently am working on Killer Bee!! You can see more pictures on my flickr here.
