Gurren Lagann movie means Gurren Lagann movie merchandise

With the recent DVD release of the Gurren Lagann: Lagann Hen movie, we're starting to see the Bandai merchandise machine get moving again. There are two sets of trading figures looking to catch your attention.

The first set belongs to the Chozokei Damashii series of Bandai's trading figures. This set is done solely with material from the movie. We finally get a figure of adult Simon, two of Kamina from his appearance, two of Yoko, two of Nia, and the last two figures being both Lagann. A special bonus, specifically with Simon and Kamina, they will come with option parts so you can replicate their meeting in the movie. Each box will contain 10 figures, which are roughly around 4 inches tall.

The second set, R-Style, is more of a super-deformed take on the characters. It only features 3 individual figures, two of Yoko's space look and an always-adorable Nia with Boota. Sadly, it's kind of annoying to have only 3 individual figures with a box count of 8. If you hate doubles or don't have any friends, I would suggest tracking down just a 3-piece set.

Chozokei Damashii currently does not have a release date, but a complete box will run you 6500 yen. R-Style will run a slightly less 6300 yen and come out in late April. You can currently preorder either the Chozokei Damashii or R-Style Gurren Lagann trading figures at Amiami for 25% off.
