Griffon shows Kanako Yasaka color preview photo

Sky goddess and patron of the Moriya shrine, Kanako Yasaka is all set to join the hordes of other Touhou Project characters in PVC form. Her color preview is up today, and shouldn't hold any great surprises to those who know her.

Her distinguishing features are all intact, from the mirror on her chest to her lovely purple hair and frilly skirt. Oh, and the giant rope loop on her butt.

Pre-orders start soon, so keep those eagle eyes open.

MOAR Touhou Project:

Legacy Comments

Kind of disappointed, I have to say. Their recent Touhou figures (Suika, Yukari, Momiji, Ran, Chen) have all shown a lot of improvement, but this honestly looks like it was sculpted before any of the newer ones. The hair is kind of stiff, and I don't like her face. Plus a sitting pose would be much more in character for her... I think Sanae (whose sculpt looks much better) is the only one I am going to be getting from this set.
I actually like it. The paint looks great and there's a strong attention to detail, even if it's not the most compelling pose. The hair really sucks, though.
The first Griffon figure I've been interested in getting in a long time.

Sitting would most definitely be better, but I'm just happy to get a damn figure of her.

Why the hell does Griffon have the rights to make Touhou figs, by the way? Seriously, there's such a huge audience, and GRIFFON gets the rights? Seems cruel.

Everytime they release a design, it's like a kick in balls, to which we respond, "At least it's something."
Needs more cann^H^H^H^Honbashira.

On the plus side, that means people will be able to kitbash her with a Guncannon.

I do like the figure in general, although the hair is pretty bad. But then, Kanako's hair has always been a bit weird, so they at least have a bit of an excuse for the poor sculpt.
