Griffon goes old-school with a pair of Bastard!! figures
I only knew of Bastard!! as a cornerstone of Ultra Jump, one of Japan's most popular manga anthology magazines. I never actually read it but it did make for some nice covers every once in a while. What surprises me is that it's still going on, having been started in 1988! So this pair of releases by Griffon isn't exactly old school as the series is ongoing, but the Bastard!! property has been around for 24 years. That's some serious longevity right there. What prompted Griffon to start making these figures? Who knows? Here we have Sean Harri, the blonde, and Kai Harn, the blue-haired gal who looks significantly less clothed from behind. Of the two I think I like Kai better due to the color palette and dao. Both will be ¥7,800 and will be out in November. Look at that, a timely pre-order!
