Griffon Enterprises' Izayoi Sakuya from Touhou Project takes no time to impress

I'm sure many out there love Griffon Enterprises very much. They have only been releasing 1/8 scale Touhou Project figures again and again and again. Coming in as the 11th notch on Griffon's belt is the knife wielding, time manipulating maid, Izayoi Sakuya Battle ver. This is the second release of Sakuya this time being sculpted by Akiyama Akio. Akio's past works include Alleyne from Queen's Blade, Unchou Kanu Nekomimi ver. and Sonsaku Hakufu from Ikkitousen.

This is definitely one of those better looking Touhou Project figures if not just for the base alone. The pose states what this version is about. I get this impression that Sakuya is challenging me with her arm extended, knives ready in both hands and the dramatic wind effect blowing her skirt. Her dead expression completes this figure making her all business.

Sakuya will be available in April, 2010 for 8,800 yen with pre-orders are being taken at AmiAmi.
