Mikatan's been busy today: not only has she announced that the talented sculptor kiking has joined the Good Smile Company's Shanghai office, but she's also giving us a sneak peek at a figure folks have been looking forward to since WonFes Winter 2012 ... Ultimate Madoka! The 1/8-scale Ultimate Madoka is drop dead gorgeous, with detail oozing out of every single fold, feather and strand of hair. You can also see the base in the full shots, painted to match the inside of her skirt with that starry space look.

Her wings have been transformed into semi-translucent  PVC, with the wingtips painted in a neat pink-to-white-to-clear fade. From the flowing, multi-layered skirt, to the bow being drawn back in Madoka's right hand, it's one of the most impressive looking figures I've seen so far in 2012, for sure.

And just for good measure, here's the CM that will be running in Japan featuring Ultimate Madoka. She's up for pre-order at all major retailers around 11 p.m. Eastern tonight (8 p.m. Pacific, 3 a.m. Friday GMT, 4 a.m. Friday British Summer Time, noon Friday Japan Standard Time), so we'll let you know when we have info on her, but wow, if she's not in the discussion for 2012 Figure of the Year ... then the rest of the year's going to have to be ridiculously off the walls in terms of figure quality.
