Go deep, deep, deep, deep, DEEP undercover with Beverly Hills Cop Minimates photo

I'm not going to lie. Sometimes I don't understand how certain properties get licensed for figures. This is a perfect case in point. The characters of Beverly Hills Cop weren't on my list of people needing to be scaled down as plastic toys. Now that it's a reality, though, that doesn't keep me from wanting them very badly.

Detroit's finest, Detective Axel Foley, is joined by the best that the Beverly Hills Police Department has to offer in Billy Rosewood and John Taggart. Together they will aim to stop the tiny plastic version of drug kingpin/art gallery owner Victor Maitland. All four figures are standard Minimates, standing 3 inches high with 14 points of articulation. Parts and accessories are fully interchangeable with other Minimates figures.

I'm happy to see Judge Reinhold finally being honored as an action figure. It was long overdue. Still, being from Detroit myself, I feel like they dropped the ball by not including Inspector Todd. He was portrayed by real-life retired Detroit PD Detective and former mayoral candidate Gill Hill. Now that would be a must buy! The set is available to pre-order now and ships in November.

Well there goes the need for me to invent a shrink ray to miniaturize Judge Reinhold.
